Eight charges laid against Macklin woman prior to Christmas

Charges included possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and gamma-hydroxy butanoic (GHB), all with the purpose of trafficking.

RCMP Report – Dec. 17 - 23, 2024

Unity Report

RCMP received a complaint of an individual damaging property at an oil site near Senlac. This matter is still under investigation.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Unity Health Centre for assessment.

Members are investigating a complaint of a break and enter at a business.

RCMP received a complaint of a single vehicle collision in a rural area north of Unity. The vehicle driver sustained minor injuries. This matter is still under investigation.

Members received a request from Emergency Medical Services to assist with a patient.

Police conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Unity Health Centre for assessment.

Members are investigating a complaint of assault.

Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Unity Health Centre for assessment.

RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a moose. There were no injuries.

There were also three traffic complaints and one false alarm.

Wilkie Report

RCMP issued a 72-hour roadside suspension during a traffic stop.

Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a concerned citizen.

CN Police reported a broken railway crossing gate near Reford. Reported for information purposes.

Members received a request from another RCMP detachment to serve court documents to an individual in the detachment area.

CN Police reported a train stopped on the railway tracks in a rural area near Wilkie. Reported for information purposes.

There were also two traffic complaints.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a report of a stolen vehicle, but it was unfounded.

Police received a complaint of a break and enter at a residence at Macklin Lake. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members received a request from another RCMP detachment to assist in locating an individual in the detachment area.

Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision in Macklin. There were no injuries and no charges were laid.

Members are investigating a complaint of sextortion.

RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Macklin. As a result, a 33-year-old female from Macklin was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, two counts of possession of property obtained by crime, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of gamma-hydroxy butanoic (GHB) for the purpose of trafficking.

There were also two false alarms and one traffic complaint.

 

RCMP Report – Dec. 24, 2024 – Jan. 6, 2025

Unity Report

RCMP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was deemed a road hazard and was towed. The registered owner was notified.

Members received a report of disturbing the peace but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police attended a two-vehicle collision in Unity. A passenger from one vehicle was transported to Unity Health Centre with minor injuries. A traffic ticket was issued to one vehicle driver.

RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members received a complaint of assault but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police issued a seven-day roadside suspension during a traffic stop.

A 20-year-old male from Unity was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and fail to stop after an accident after members received a report of a hit and run causing damage to a vehicle.

Members spoke to an individual regarding a mental health concern.

RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a report of an individual setting up a roadblock on a rural roadway. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

RCMP received a complaint of an abandoned vehicle. Members contacted the registered owner who agreed to move the vehicle.

Members received a request from Emergency Medical Services to assist with a patient.

An individual reported losing an identification card. Reported for information purposes.

Police received an animal welfare complaint. Members attended to check on the animal. No further police action required.

RCMP received a report of two individuals walking in extreme cold weather. Members provided transportation to a residence.

Members received a complaint of harassing communications but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

There were also six false alarms, two false 911 calls and one traffic complaint.

Wilkie Report

RCMP received a noise complaint. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

Police received a complaint of an individual damaging residential property. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

Members received a report of a single vehicle collision in Wilkie. There were no injuries. A traffic ticket was issued to the vehicle driver.

RCMP received a complaint of assault. Members attended. The complainant declined to proceed.

Police received an animal welfare complaint. Members made a referral to Animal Protection Services.

RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Members served court documents to an individual in the detachment area at the request of another RCMP detachment.

Police received a complaint of an individual not complying with an undertaking condition but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

RCMP received a complaint of assault, but it was unfounded.

A 24-year-old female from Wilkie was charged with assault after members received a complaint of assault.

Members spoke to an individual regarding a property dispute.

There were also two traffic complaints and one false 911 call.

Macklin Report

RCMP received a report of a single vehicle collision near Macklin. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.

A 43-year-old with no fixed address was charged with break and enter with intent and theft under $5,000 after members received a complaint of a break and enter at a residence.

There were also five false alarms and two traffic complaints.
