ATM pulled out of Shaunavon building with chains

Officers have since located the stolen truck and the empty ATM on rural roads west of Shaunavon.

SHAUNAVON — Thieves have managed to yank an ATM out of a Shaunavon building and abandon it after emptying it of cash.

On Dec. 30, 2023, at approximately midnight, Shaunavon RCMP received a report of a break and enter at a business in Shaunavon.

Investigation has determined an ATM was attached to a stolen truck with chains and pulled out of the building by two suspects.

One suspect wore all black, while the other suspect wore a blue/green plaid jacket with a red hoodie underneath and light-coloured jeans.

Officers have since located the stolen truck and the ATM on rural roads west of Shaunavon. All of the cash has been removed from the ATM.
