REGINA - Gone are the days of lining up at a polling station to cast a ballot on Election Day. Elections Saskatchewan has many ways to vote.
Starting Tuesday, advance polling begins in what Elections Saskatchewan has been calling “Voting Week,” with advance polls open every day except the Sunday before the final day of voting, Monday Oct. 28.
By now, you should have received your voter information card telling where the advance polls are. You can of course vote on the final day of “Voting Week” as normal.
Elections Saskatchewan offered up mail in balloting which proved popular in the last provincial election in 2020, when the pandemic was hitting its heights.
In the last election (October 2020) just over 52 pe rcent of eligible voters cast ballots. That worked out to 444,997 votes being cast. Vote by mail made up just under 13 per cent of all the votes cast.
If you need any information about voting, make sure you visit the Elections Saskatchewan web page which also had some “in house” podcasts about “voting week” and other information.
