ROSTHERN-SHELLBROOK — Scott Moe is re-seeking election in the riding of Rosthern-Shellbrook.

Scott Moe was first elected to the Saskatchewan legislature in the 2011 provincial election in the constituency of Rosthern-Shellbrook. He was re-elected in 2016. He was elected Leader of the Saskatchewan Party on January 27, 2018 and sworn in as premier of Saskatchewan on Feb. 2, 2018.

Moe has consistently been ranked among the most popular first ministers in the country. His tenure has been defined by an adversarial relationship with the federal government, including a failed court challenge against federal carbon pricing, and calls for a re-set to provincial-federal relations and expanded powers for the province, such as in the realms of policing and taxation. Moe's time in office has also been defined by the . While Saskatchewan was one of the hardest hit provinces in Canada, Moe prioritized limiting public health measures throughout the pandemic, and twice made Saskatchewan the first province to lift its pandemic-related public health orders

Moe was born and raised on a grain farm between Shellbrook and Parkside. He and his wife Krista currently reside nearby in Shellbrook. He was educated at the University of Saskatchewan where he received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.

He has previously served as Minister of Environment, Minister of Advanced Education, Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Water Corporation, and Minister responsible for Saskatchewan Water Security Agency.

Premier Moe's priorities include a focus on increasing Saskatchewan's exports to create opportunities for people and further grow Saskatchewan's economy. To this end, he created the Ministry of Trade and Export Development with a mandate to sustain and develop relationships with Saskatchewan's current export customers and place an increased emphasis on diversifying our markets worldwide.

He has made it a priority to engage with current and prospective trading partners around the world to advocate for Saskatchewan's export industries. Saskatchewan supplies much-needed goods and commodities such as food, fuel, and fertilizer to over 150 countries.

Moe is also committed to advancing the economic interests of Saskatchewan through strengthening Saskatchewan's high-quality agricultural, mining, manufacturing, and energy industries that meet the needs of growing markets around the globe with world-leading efficiency and sustainability.
