Yorkton RCMP looking for suspect in bear spray attack

Police have issued a warrant for Terran Finlay.

YORKTON – While one suspect in an assault at a Yorkton business is in custody, a second man is currently at large.

On April 30, at around 12:40 a.m., police learned of an assault at a business. 

"Investigation determined there was an altercation between a group of individuals outside of the business." said RCMP in a media release. "An adult male, who was armed with a knife,  assaulted an adult individual."

Bear spray was also discharged at the victim, who police say was taken to hospital with non -life-threatening injures. Some of the people in the business and surrounding area also felt the effects of the bear spray.

Through police investigation, Jason Finlay, 21, was arrested on May 1, facing two counts carrying a weapon contrary to an order; and single counts assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon, and administer a noxious substance.He was remanded into custody, scheduled to appear in Yorkton Provincial Court on May 10.

Co-accused Terran Finlay, 22, is also charged with assault with a weapon, and possession of a dangerous weapon. 

"A warrant has been issued for his arrest and Yorkton RCMP are working to locate him, said RCMP.

Finlay is described as being 5'9" tall, weighing 150 lbs. He has brown hair and eyes, with a tattoo of the word "stay" on his right hand and "true" on his left. He also has a tattoo of a turtle and a mask on his left arm, and the name "Finlay" on his right arm.
