SASKATOON – A 26-year-old woman faces charges of evading police, dangerous driving, and possession of property obtained by crime after trying to flee from police.

Saskatoon police say that at about 2:15 a.m. on Aug. 15, patrol officers observed a vehicle pull up to a four-way stop at the intersection of 29th Street West and Avenue H North. After seeing the patrol vehicle, the woman didn’t go through the intersection and instead, backed up in the direction she had come from.

Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop after witnessing this behaviour, however, the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed. Tire deflation devices were successfully deployed and the vehicle came to a stop after striking a parked vehicle near 23rd Street West and Vancouver Avenue.

Police say the vehicle is believed to have been stolen.
