Woman missing since 2017 yet to be located; police seek tips

Despite recent rumours circulating in the community that Happy Charles has been found, authorities have confirmed that Happy Charles has not been located at this time.

PRINCE ALBERT – The Prince Albert Police Service (PAPS) is actively investigating a missing person case involving Happy Charles, who was last seen in the city on April 3, 2017.

Despite recent rumours circulating in the community that she has been found, authorities have confirmed that Happy Charles has not been located at this time.

PAPS remain dedicated to locating Happy Charles and urges anyone with information regarding her whereabouts to come forward.

Charles was last seen on April 3, 2017, in the area of the Prince Albert Collegiate Institute Kinsmen Park area, 45-20th Street West.

In June 2020, police followed up on information that identified a possible location connected to Charles' disappearance and searched a rural area outside of the city. The police, however, were unsuccessful in their search saying unfortunately, the area described was vast and the information wasn’t enough to determine the exact location identified.

According to the Saskatchewan Association of Chiefs of Police, Charles was born March 22, 1975, is 5-foot-3 and 112 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair, and a scar on her left cheek. She also has a tattoo of a rose on her right hand. She was wearing a black leather biker jacket, light blue jeans, grey baseball hat, prescription glasses and a black Starter backpack when she was last seen.

Anyone with information about the disappearance of Happy Charles is asked to contact Prince Albert Police at 306-953-4222, or by email at  [email protected], or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
