Woman appears in court following violent house party stabbing

Hannah Jasmine Machiskinic appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday and was remanded in custody until Wednesday for a bail hearing.

Saskatoon police say that officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a house party in a suite in the 700 block of Appleby Drive at about 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 15. 

SASKATOON – A 22-year-old woman has been charged with aggravated assault in a stabbing incident that sent a 21-year-old woman to hospital with serious injuries.

Hannah Jasmine Machiskinic appeared in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday. She was remanded in custody until Wednesday for a bail hearing.

Saskatoon police say that officers responded to a report of a stabbing at a house party in a suite in the 700 block of Appleby Drive at about 5:30 a.m. on Oct. 15.  The victim had made her way to a neighbour’s house, who called police. Police searched the suite and arrested Machiskinic.

The victim has since been released from hospital, say Saskatoon police.
