Trio nabbed in Monday night robbery with help of Regina aerial unit

Two women and a teen girl make court appearances this morning.

REGINA — Using their eyes in the skies, police were able to apprehend two women and a teen in relation to a residential assault and robbery.

Police received a call of an assault in progress just after 10 p.m. on May 29, and attended a home in the 1000 block of Cameron Street.

“Information received was that suspects entered a residence, assaulted the occupant, and stole her belongings,” said RPS in a media release. Further investigation led police to three female suspects aged 31, 30 and 15.

“They were located by  in the area of Dewdney Avenue and Robinson Street, and were arrested,” RPS said. “A search of the 30-year-old female revealed a knife.”

Olivia Violet Isaac, 31, and Becki Maureen Maxie, 30, (both of Regina) were jointly charged with robbery, and Maxie was further charged with possession of a weapon.

The teen girl, who cannot be named under the Youth Justice Act, was charged with robbery and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Isaac and Maxie made their first appearance on these charges today in Regina Provincial Court. Both will return to have their matters spoken to on June 13.

The teen also appeared this morning on her charges.
