SASKATOON – A 36-year-old man faces 10 weapons and firearms-related offences after allegedly leaving a grocery store carrying a firearm.
Saskatoon police say that at about 9 p.m. on Oct. 15, patrol officers were dispatched to a grocery store in the 400 block of Confederation Drive for a weapons call. Store security told police that a man had been seen attempting to conceal a gun and a knife prior to leaving the store. Officers located the suspect walking across Laurier Drive at Confederation Drive where he was arrested without incident.
Police say he was found carrying an imitation (BB) pistol, a baton and two knives attached to a tactical vest. A small amount of methamphetamine was also located.
