Suspect accused of ramming two Rosetown RCMP vehicles denied bail

SASKATOON – A Biggar man has been denied bail in Saskatoon Provincial Court.

Derrick Seefried, 26, is accused of ramming two Rosetown RCMP police vehicles when he was being pursued following a break-in at a home in Eston in February.

Seefried’s co-accused, Tami Falcon, 22, also from Biggar, was released on bail in February. She is back in court July 5 and Seefried appears next on June 19. 

The two were arrested by Biggar RCMP after being .  Just after midnight on Feb. 3, Kindersley RCMP got a call about a break-in at a home in Eston. When they arrived they saw a silver car parked outside and as they approached the car it drove off and almost hit an officer. He wasn’t injured.

Kindersley RCMP later found the silver car on Highway 30 and tried to stop it but the driver refused to stop. Then, at about 2 a.m., Rosetown RCMP spotted the vehicle in town and tried to stop it but the driver rammed two police vehicles as it fled.

Biggar RCMP arrested Falcon on Feb. 6, and Seefried on Feb. 7.
