Saskatoon volunteer to stand trial on sexual assault charges

SASKATOON – A 63-year-old man facing eight charges of sexual assault and sexual interference will stand trial.

Eric Pohorecky was a community volunteer in Saskatoon. He was arrested in April 2022 after an investigation into sexual assault and sexual interference incidents that occurred between 2016 and 2017. After further investigation, police laid additional charges in connection to incidents between 2018 and 2021.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled in Saskatoon Provincial Court Monday and Tuesday. A trial date will now be set in Saskatoon Court of King’s Bench.
