Saskatoon Police charge man with creating disturbance, assaulting officers

With the assistance of a security guard, police arrested the man for public intoxication. He became combative, kicking and biting officers prior to being placed in the patrol car and transported to detention.

SASKATOON - One man was arrested following a disturbance yesterday afternoon.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Jan. 26, Saskatoon police patrol members attended to an address in the 300 block of 23rd Street East for a report of an individual causing a disturbance. When officers arrived, they found a man in front of the address carrying drug paraphernalia. He appeared to be agitated and under the influence of an intoxicant. With the assistance of a security guard, police arrested the man for public intoxication. He became combative, kicking and biting officers prior to being placed in the patrol car and transported to detention.

A 28-year-old man is charged with causing a disturbance, resisting arrest, uttering death threats and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
