Saskatoon police arrest three people in high-risk traffic stop

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, and the three suspects were arrested.

SASKATOON – Police arrested three people in relation to an aggravated assault on Monday night.

On June 24, at approximately 8:50 p.m., police responded to reports of an assault in progress in the 1300 block of 33rd Street East. Further updates said the suspects left in a vehicle towards 25th Street.

When officers arrived, they located a male victim suffering from what were believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital.

After further investigation, officers were able to obtain a licence plate number for the suspect vehicle from a witness. With that information, they were able to locate the vehicle a short time later.

A high-risk traffic stop was conducted, and the three suspects were arrested. As a result, a 22-year-old man, 23-year-old man, and a 21-year-old woman are facing charges relating to aggravated assault. The 22-year-old man was also found to be in breach of court-ordered conditions, and also had an outstanding warrant for a break and enter
