Sask. RCMP Major Crimes arrest Nolan Bird for manslaughter

BATTLEFORDS – Update Dec. 4: Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST) arrested Nolan Bird in Saskatoon on Dec. 2.

He is scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Dec. 4.

Original story: Police are searching for 34-year-old Nolan Bird from Saskatoon in the death of David Lapointe on March 13, 2022. Lapointe’s body was found after police were called to a home on the 1600 block of 102nd Street in North Battleford.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes have charged  have charged Bird with manslaughter. He may be in Saskatoon, Battlefords, or Edmonton area but this hasn’t been confirmed say police.

Bird is about 5-foot-7 and 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, as well as tattoos on his neck and under one eye.
