REGINA – The case of a Regina man facing sexual assault and child pornography charges will wait for another month.
Lawyers discussed the matters of Chance Longman, 22, this morning in Regina Provincial Court. After a recent “intensive” case management conference, Longman’s lawyer is calling for another such meeting on Oct. 10, with the matters coming back to court two days later.
The plan during the October conference will be to set trial dates to deal with the charges before Longman.
Longman stands charged with making, distribution, make available, and possession of child pornography; sexual interference of a minor and sexual assault. The charges stem from an Aug. 24, 2022 raid one a Regina home by the Saskatchewan internet Child Exploitation and RPS VICE Units. Police seized electronic devices from that search.
Judge Murray Hinds granted the adjournment, Longman did not appear in court today.
