Regina couple caught after robbery and assault

Police found the suspects quickly, along with the victim's property.

REGINA – A Canada Day robbery and assault resulted in two arrests and a court date for the suspects.

Police were called to the 700 block of Albert Street just before 5 p.m. on July 1 for a report of a robbery by a man and a woman, who also assaulted the victim while stealing her belongings.

"Upon arrival, police located both suspects nearby in possession of the victims property," said RPS in a media release. "Both suspects were arrested without incident. The victim was not injured in the incident."

Kayla Crowe, 36, was charged with robbery and breach of probation, while Lyndon Gambler faces a single robbery charge.

Both Crowe and Gambler will make their first court appearance on these matters in Provincial Court on Aug. 17.
