MEADOW LAKE – RCMP Major Crimes is investigating after human remains were found in a house fire about 45 kilometers southeast of Meadow Lake.
Police responded to a report of the fire at about 4:23 p.m. on Sept. 27. They say that when officers arrived, the fire was already extinguished.
Investigators are working in collaboration with the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service to determine the identity of the individual.
RCMP say that as they are in the preliminary stages of this sudden death investigation, this is the only information they can provide at this time and updates will be provided as soon as possible.
