PRINCE ALBERT - The Prince Albert Police Service has appointed Deepan Dasgupta as its public relations and media lead.

Dasgupta’s career as a content and communication specialist spans more than two decades, during which he has worked in various geographies and sectors, including IT & ITeS, Agritech, alternative energy, healthcare, government, defense, entertainment and internal security. He has worked with clients and on mandates across North America, the Middle East and Asia.

“As the Interim Chief of Police for the Prince Albert Police Service, I want to emphasize the importance of transparent and effective communication with the community we serve,” said Prince Albert Police Chief Patrick Nogier. “Mr. Dasgupta’s role and expertise will help bridge the gap between our service and the public, ensuring we maintain trust and understanding.”

In addition, Dasgupta was with the Lac La Ronge Indian Band as communications lead for more than two years. He looks forward to his new challenge ahead.

"It’s an honour to be part of the Prince Albert Police Service, particularly during these transitional times. The opportunity to serve the Gateway to the North’s diverse community significantly adds to my quest for learning.  Effective communication is vital in maintaining peace along with faith, and I hope to contribute to the city police’s renewed vigour in building bridges of mutual trust and understanding with our stakeholders."
