MEADOW LAKE – A preliminary hearing has been set for three people charged with second-degree murder in 36-year-old Jeremy Ernest’s death.
The preliminary hearing will be held in Meadow Lake Provincial Court in October for 28-year-old Hannah Durocher of Eagles Lake, 34-year-old Tyson Lasas of Waterhen Lake First Nation, and 23-year-old Trevor Alexander of Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation
Tasha Opikokew is charged with accessory to murder and her matter has gone to Battleford Court of King’s Bench to set a trial date.
Meadow Lake RCMP had responded to a call of a man in medical distress at Waterhen Lake First Nation on Nov. 12, 2022. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.
