Police search for man carrying vacuum in random assault of woman

At the time of the assault the suspect was carrying a vacuum.

SASKATOON – Police are searching for a suspect carrying a vacuum who assaulted a woman just after 1:30 p.m. on May 28.

Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Avenue G Â鶹´«Ã½AV for reports of an assault in progress. Arriving officers searched the area but the suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival.

The victim was believed to have sustained several non-life-threatening injuries. The victim and the subject are not known to each other.

The male suspect is described as approximately 6-foot-2, about160-170 pounds, and in his late 20’s to early 30’s. At the time of the assault he was carrying a vacuum.
