P. A. police recover items stolen from business, arrest man

Tyson Tobey appears again in Prince Albert court Friday for a bail hearing.

PRINCE ALBERT – A 28-year-old Prince Albert man faces theft and firearms-related offences after an investigation by Prince Albert Police Service’s Proactive Policing Unit.

Tyson Tobey appeared in Prince Albert court Wednesdsay and Thursday on charges of possession of stolen property, trafficking in property obtained by crime, possession of a controlled substance, breach of probation, breach of a conditional sentence order, and numerous firearms related charges. He is back in court Friday for a bail hearing. 

Tobey was arrested July 18 following a traffic stop in the 1000 block of 6th Avenue East. Police say they recovered property that was stolen from a Prince Albert business.

The police investigation led officers to a home in the 500 block of 10th Street East and they executed a search warrant. There, they seized a significant amount of property including firearms, ammunition, and tools. Investigators say they are continuing to match the stolen items to break and enters in and around Prince Albert.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
