SASKATOON – A preliminary hearing is tentatively set for a 44-year-old man charged with second-degree murder in the death of 35-year-old Steffen Pohl.
The hearing for Nader Afzal Butter is scheduled for November in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Case management is planned for Aug. 25.
Butter remains in custody since his arrest on Jan. 30 at the home in the 1200 block of Idylwyld Drive North where the homicide occurred. Saskatoon police say they were called to the home at approximately 7:20 a.m. for a report of a death. They found Pohl deceased.
