SASKATOON – Update: Saskatoon police say Mariam Osunfowora, 34, and Xavier Osunfowora, 3, have been located safe.
Original story: Police are asking the public's help locating a missing mother and son. Saskatoon Police Service say Mariam Osunfowora, 34, and Xavier Osunfowora, 3, were last seen leaving a home in the 300 block of Central Avenue at around 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 1, 2023, along with Mariam’s 60-year-old mother, Kaosara Uthman.
Mariam is 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds. She has long black hair, brown eyes, and pierced ears. Police say a clothing description for Mariam isn't available. Xavier is believed to be wearing a light green sweat suit.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mariam and/or Xavier Osunfowora is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 306-975-8300 or, in an emergency, 9-1-1. Anonymous information can also be provided to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
