RCMP Major Crimes investigating Nitanas Scarlett's disappearance

Nitanas Scarlett's disappearance is suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP's Major Crime Unit has taken over investigation. 

NORTH BATTLEFORD – Update Aug. 17, 4:50 p.m.: Battlefords RCMP say 20-year-old Nitanas Scarlett's disappearance is suspicious and Saskatchewan RCMP's Major Crime Unit has taken over the investigation. 

Nitanas was last seen on the 900 block of 102 Street in North Battleford the afternoon of July 4.

Scarlett is approximately 5-foot-4 and 140 pounds. She has long dark brown hair and has braces on her teeth and a pierced nose. She has a tattoo of a dragon with flowers around it on her forearm and a tattoo of Asian script on her neck.

Nitanas has connections to North Battleford and Moosomin First Nation but it has not been confirmed that she travelled to either of these communities.

A province-wide Saskatchewan RCMP news release was issued on August 8 and a Saskatchewan Crime Watch Advisory was sent local to the Battlefords area on August 10, 2023 advising that Nitanas was considered missing. Investigators continue to ask members of the public to report all sightings and information about Nitanas’ whereabouts to their local police.

Original story: Battlefords RCMP is asking the public’s help finding 20-year-old Nitanas Scarlett who was last seen on the 900 block of 110th Street in North Battleford the morning of June 28. 

Scarlett is approximately 5-foot-4 and 140 pounds.  She has long brown hair and braces on her teeth.  She has several visible tattoos, which include Asian characters on her neck and one described as a dragon with flowers around it on her forearm. She also has a nose piercing. 

Scarlett generally frequents the City of North Battleford and Moosomin First Nation area.
