PRINCE ALBERT – Wanted man Tyler Daniels has been apprehended and made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Sept. 26.
Daniels, 27, was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Oct. 2 for a bail hearing.
Earlier this month, the North Battleford RCMP Crime Reduction Team (CRT) had released Daniels’ photo and asked the public to report any sightings of him. Daniels was wanted for an incident on Sturgeon Lake First Nation Sept. 18. He is accused of ramming a police vehicle, driving straight towards an officer, and fleeing from police.
Police say that they had tried stopping a vehicle on Sturgeon Lake First Nation but the driver refused to stop and fled from officers. Their investigation determined the vehicle was reported as stolen from Christopher Lake on Sept. 1.
Daniels, from Little Red River, is charged with two counts each of dangerous driving, flight from a peace officer, and assault on a police officer with a weapon. He is also charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, mischief over $5,000, and driving while prohibited.
