SASKATOON – A 33-year-old man faces assault, drug, and weapons offences after a man was attacked in the 100 block of 1st Avenue North Friday.
Saskatoon police say that at about 6:30 a.m. officers responded to a disturbance. Security guards reported that a man was found sleeping in the parking lot and he allegedly assaulted security guards when they woke him.
The 37-year-old victim detained the suspect until police arrived and arrested the man. Police say the man had two knives, a collapsible baton, methamphetamine, and hydromorphone on him.
