Man accused of threatening apartment staff with knife seeks bail

Police say the man was in possession of disassembled scissors, a steak knife. and a utility knife with an extra blade.

SASKATOON – A man accused of threatening staff at an apartment building with a knife after he was asked to leave has been remanded in custody and has a bail hearing Oct. 31.

Conrad Isaac Frenchman, 33, faces 10 weapons-related offences following an incident in the 1900 block of 22nd Street West at about 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 14.

Saskatoon police located Frenchman nearby at 22nd Street West and Avenue S Â鶹´«Ã½AV and he became agitated when officers spoke with him and he tried to flee on foot. There was an altercation when police tried to arrest him and he allegedly threatened police with a knife that he had been concealing.

Police used a Tazer to subdue and arrest him. He was in possession of disassembled scissors, a steak knife. and a utility knife with an extra blade.
