MELFORT – A man charged with stealing a house is headed to trial in Melfort Provincial Court in July and November.
Matthew Malley, 32, of Codette, was arrested after a house that was on a trailer and ready for transport was allegedly stolen from Crooked River in June 2022. Police also say that Malley assaulted the owner of the house the next day.
Tisdale RCMP had asked the public to be on the lookout for the stolen house. The house was located a month later in a rural area in Nipawin RCMP’s jurisdiction.
Malley was charged with theft under $5,000, uttering threats, and assault with a weapon.
