Maidstone RCMP investigate fatal collision near Lloydminster

The police investigation determined a truck and semi collided.

MAIDSTONE — On June 11 at approximately 11:50 a.m., Maidstone RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 between 67 Street and Township Road 504, north of Lloydminster.

Officers responded immediately, along with local fire and EMS. The police investigation determined a truck and semi collided. The driver of the truck was declared deceased by EMS at the scene. He has been identified as a man from Lloydminster, Alta. Police say his specific age won’t be released at the family’s request.

The driver of the semi was assessed by EMS at the scene.

Maidstone RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
