LA RONGE – A man is in hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a vehicle while walking at La Ronge Avenue and Nunn Street in La Ronge just before 4 p.m. on Sept. 29.
RCMP say that bystanders stopped the man who was driving the vehicle to prevent him from leaving the scene on foot. He was arrested by La Ronge RCMP at the scene.
La Ronge RCMP and multiple support units, including an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist, are continuing to conduct an on-scene investigation. Access to the area near La Ronge Avenue and Nunn Street will be inaccessible while this occurs.
La Ronge RCMP say they are in the preliminary stages of the investigation and this is all the information they can provide at this time.
