LA RONGE – A preliminary hearing has been set for November in La Ronge Provincial Court for two Stanley Mission residents charged with attempted murder.
Roseann Halkett, 33, and Jonas Hardlotte, 36, were arrested in March after La Ronge RCMP General Investigation Section [GIS] got a report about a serious assault and robbery that had occurred previously, in June 2022.
RCMP raided a Stanley Mission home on March 14 where they seized 15 long-barrelled firearms [including one semi-automatic model], two handguns [one loaded], ammunition, prohibited magazines, 10 knives, two cans of bear spray, approximately 31 grams of methamphetamine, 85 grams of cocaine, 672 grams of cannabis, a sum of cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Hardlotte and Halkett are also charged with robbery, aggravated sexual assault, unlawful confinement, aggravated assault, choking to render another person incapable of resistance, possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime under $5,000, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unlicensed possession of a firearm, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of a loaded prohibited firearm, and possession of a prohibited device.
