A private funeral will be held for four people who died in murder-suicide near Neudorf. Their bodies were found by RCMP on March 24.
A 67-year-old man, a 58-year-old woman, and a 30-year-old man died as the result of homicide. A 34-year-old man died as a result of self-inflicted injuries, say Saskatchewan RCMP.
An obituary for the family says, "It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gary Clifford Bender born Dec. 9, 1957, his wife Joanne Lorene Bender born Nov. 22, 1965, and their two sons, Andrew Gary Bender born Dec. 11, 1989, and Cory James Bender born Aug. 17, 1993. They passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 23, 2024 in Neudorf.
The private funeral will be held Friday, April 5 for family and close friends at Trinity Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, they asked that donations be made to the Saskatchewan Mental Health Association or an addictions' treatment centre of your choosing.
