SASKATOON – First-degree murder charges have been stayed against three people accused of killing 30-year-old Tyler Morin in 2017.
The charges against Levi Dana George McAdam, Richard Cross, and Ashley Payton Reed Smoke were stayed in Saskatoon Provincial Court on different days in May. Sometimes the Crown stays charges if there is a lack of evidence or if witnesses are hostile and no longer co-operating, which would put a trial in jeopardy. The Crown then stays the charges and this keeps the actual criminal charges “live” in case the Crown wants to proceed again but this rarely happens.
Saskatoon Police say that Morin was found inside a Saskatoon home in the 200 block of Ave. V Â鶹´«Ã½AV with a gunshot wound to the abdomen on Nov. 10, 2017. He died in hospital the next day.
