CRAIK – Police are warning residents about alleged fraudsters in the area.
The week of July 21 - 28, 2023 Craik RCMP received several complaints of being approached by people asking for help. Polices say they will ask for money for gas as they are broke or have lost their credit cards and then offer to pay in gold jewelry. Once they have the person's attention, they continue to try and get the person to buy more gold items.
The one suspect vehicle is a white SUV with Alberta plates and there are a male, female and teenage child in the vehicle.
Police say to call them if they see this or anything else that seems suspicious.
