Battlefords RCMP gang unit raids two homes, seizes drugs, makes arrest

NORTH BATTLEFORD – The North Battleford RCMP Gang Task Force raided two homes, seized drugs, and arrested 33-year-old Benjamin Lennie following a drug trafficking investigation.

On Oct. 12, search warrants were executed in Wilkie and in the 1600 block of 105 Street in North Battleford. North Battleford Municipal and Provincial General Investigation Sections, as well as the Battlefords and Wilkie Detachments assisted.  Police located and seized 109 grams of methamphetamine, Psilocybin (mushrooms), Canadian currency and other evidence of drug trafficking. 

Lennie, of North Battleford, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. He appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court Oct. 16.
