LA RONGE - Update: On May 30, Dency Herman was arrested without incident just south of Prince Albert, with the assistance of Prince Albert RCMP and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Warrant Enforcement and Suppression Team (WEST).

Original story: La Ronge RCMP is asking the public to report sightings on the whereabouts of 29-year-old Dency Herman who is wanted on four charges of attempted murder.

Herman was involved in the discharge of a firearm into a residence in La Ronge during the early morning of May 22. There were two adults and two youth inside the residence at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported to police. He is believed to have fled on foot following the incident.

Herman is approximately five-foot-eight and 180 pounds with short black hair and brown eyes. He has tattoos of a skull, flames, and cards on his right forearm. He also has tattoos on his left wrist/forearm. Herman was last seen wearing a grey hoodie with joggers.

La Ronge RCMP is investigating along with officers from the Prince Albert RCMP Forensic Identification Services. Officers are following-up on all information provided to them to help locate Herman and determine the circumstances of the incident.

A warrant for his arrest has been issued for Dency Herman on four counts of attempted murder, possession of a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm with intent, possession of a loaded restricted firearm, four counts of possession of a firearm contrary to a court order, and failing to comply with a release order.

Herman is considered to be armed and dangerous. If he is seen, do not approach, and report this sighting to police by calling 9-1-1 immediately.
