YORKTON – The annual Dr. Brian's Friends For Life Dog Walk was held Sept. 10.
The event, organized by the Yorkton Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and now in its 28th year, had around 30 people registered according to event organizer Joan Kobylko.
"We started it 28 years ago in memory of Dr. Brian ... who was a cornerstone with the Yorkton SPCA," said Kobylko in an interview with Yorkton This Week.
"It's just been an annual fundraiser — a fun way to meet some animals and get out and walk your dog," said Kobylko.
The event raised over $5,300 according to the SPCA.
