YORKTON - Yorkton Aquabatix held a hot dog sale and car wash fundraiser at Royal Ford in Yorkton.
Aquabatix is an artistic swimming club.
“Swimmers perform a synchronized routine of dynamic underwater and above water movements accompanied by music,” noted an email release regarding the event Saturday.
The club has programs for all age groups. Starting with little aquasquirts (4-7 years old), recreation program, competitive program and adult/masters program. They swim on Sunday, Monday and Friday.
Fundraising like the weekend event goes to help pay for pool and lifeguard fees and to upgrade equipment in hopes of keeping costs affordable for participants.
Club swimmers have received top placements in the limited competitive category, and hope to continue to place as some move up to participate in more competitions this year.
