YORKTON - The Highway #10 rivalry New Year’s season home-and-home SJHL set renewed with action at the Westland Insurance Arena in Yorkton for a rare Monday tilt.

It was 2-0 before the teams headed to the dressing room for the first intermission after Gaborik Carlson potted one at 9:58.

The home side Terriers finally got on the board in the second as David Coyle scored a powerplay goal at 2:11 of the middle stanza.

Harrison Aldridge would even things at 2-2 with a Terrier goal at 14:07.

Yorkton finally edged ahead early in the third period when Dustin Renas scored at 6:58.

David Coyle with his second of the game made it 4-2 at 13:20.

Thirty seconds later Riley Cormier rounded out scoring for the night making it a 5-2 margin for the Terriers.

Ethan Farrow was in net for the Terriers facing 21 shots in the win.

Ben Laurette was the Mills’ goaltender for the contest facing 34-shots in the loss.

The two teams will meet again New Year’s Day in Melville for a 2 p.m. contest.
