Bill John Yaroski was born on September 15, 1949, the son of John and Helen (nee Humeniuk) Yaroski in the Wroxton District of SK. He received his education at the Wroxton School. In 1969 he took over farming when his Dad passed away. In his younger years, Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, curling and making various woodworking projects. He also enjoyed manufacturing anything from steel. Give him some steel and a welder, and Bill could make almost anything. Bill's employment history was varied over the years. He worked at the Wroxton-Kessock Telephone, the Auction Barn at Wroxton and Can-west Auction and also was employed with Ben Holstein as a grass cutter. He then worked at Ram Industries and Morris Sales and Service as a mechanic. From there he worked for the R.M. of Calder as a grader operator at the Kamsack Strawboard and Norquay Alfalfa Plants. At the time of his passing he was working for the R.M. of Wallace as a grass mower operator. He was also a member of the I.U.O.E. Local 870 and the Thresherman's Club in Yorkton, SK. On September 22, 2013, Bill passed away at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre in Yorkton, SK. He was 64 years of age. Bill was predeceased by his parents, John and Helen and by one sister, Sophie, in infancy. He leaves to mourn his passing his sister, Sylvia and her husband, Walter Bugoy of Otthon, SK; his cousins, Glen Yaroski and his wife, Louise of Calder, SK, Adeline and her husband, Keith Clay of White City, SK, Delores and her husband, Micheal Laskowski of Regina, SK and Lynda and her husband, Ted Dankowich of Edmonton, AB as well as many friends and neighbours. Bill will also be missed by his faithful companion, his dog, Rocky. The Prayer Service was held on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 and the Funeral Service was held on Thursday, September 26, 2013. Both services were held from the Chapel of Christie's Funeral Home with Father Methodius Kushko, C.Ss.R. officiating. The responses were led by Mr. Ed Pindus and members of the Yorkton Ukrainian Catholic Choir. Following a luncheon in the Gunn Reception Room at Christie's Funeral Home, the interment service took place in St. Mary's Cemetery near Calder, Saskatchewan with Glen Yaroski, Donald Bugoy, Jordan Mehling, Barry Novak, Don Soloninko, Keith Clay and Keith Kyle serving as the casket bearers. The Honourary Pallbearers were Dale Cherry, Sid Wonitowy, Barry Mehling, Erwin Stricker, Dick Ivanochko and Garry Liebrecht.
