It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of James Dale Wrigley of Yorkton on Friday, January 3, 2014. He was 73 years of age. Jim was born on September 7, 1940 at Estevan, SK to Lillian (nee Stringer) and Roy Wrigley. He and his siblings were raised in Esterhazy. As a young man he ventured west and worked for many years in Elkford BC as a shovel operator for a coal mine company. In later years he returned to Saskatchewan, settling in the Bredenbury district, and his last residence had been in Yorkton. He was predeceased by his parents, Roy & Lillian; a sister, Loretta Common; brother-in-law, Gerald Clarke, and by a nephew, Jerry Clarke. He is survived by his children: daughter Cindy (Richard) Cardozo of Sparwood BC; son Rodney (Patti) Betz of Elkford BC; grandchildren: Ashley Hansen & Tyler Heuer. Also two sisters: Shiela (Wally) Mazylowski and Sandra Clarke; brother-in-law, Barry Common; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and his many other relatives and friends. The cremation care has been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at baileysfuneralhome.com. A memorial service for James will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 at 11:00 at the Community Hall in Bredenbury. Interment will take place in the Esterhazy Town Cemetery.
