Leslie Frank Woloschuk

Leslie Frank Woloschuk was born on November 13, 1936 in the Yorkton Union Hospital, Yorkton, SK. He grew up on the family farm six miles south of Yorkton. He attended York Lake School and later helped with the family farm. Les married his wife, Eleanor on August 24, 1968 and together they made their home in Otthon, SK. They were blessed with two children, a son, Barry and a daughter, Barbara. During the early years, Leslie worked at Morris Rod Weeder and Leon's in Yorkton and later at Degelman Industries and Sweeprite in Regina, SK. Les had a quiet way about him but enjoyed good conversation and going into Yorkton for coffee with his wife in the afternoons. Les loved to be busy.  After his retirement, he spent his days helping family and neighbours doing various projects. Although not a lot of time was spent in recreation, Les enjoyed camping, fishing and family vacations. Leslie passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at the age of 78 after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer. Les was predeceased by his father, Nick, his sister, Rita and his brother, Arthur. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory his loving wife, Eleanor; his son, Barry (Jackie); his daughter, Barbara (Shane Lumsden); grandchildren, Hailey, Caden and Taylor; his mother, Valeria Woloschuk of Yorkton, SK; his sisters, Dorothy (Borden) Tanasychuk of Dugald, MB, Sylvia Rast of Eatonia, SK, Shirley (Richard) Gunn of Brooklyn, NY, Marlene (Sylvester) Woytas of Regina, SK, Valerie (Arnie) Janz of Regina, SK; his brothers, Ronald (Gerry) Woloschuk of Victoria, B.C., Raymond (Florence) Woloschuk of Otthon, SK and Lavern Woloschuk, Yorkton, SK, his sister-in-law, Edie Woloschuk, Bulyea, SK as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In accordance with Les' wishes, a private family interment service was held in the Yorkton City Cemetery, Yorkton, SK. Donations in Leslie's memory can be made to the Health Foundation for use in Palliative Care at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, Yorkton, SK.
