Shirley Nan Templeton (Nee Morgan) of Moose Jaw, SK. On October 17, 2013 She passed away at the age of 90. Shirley is survived by her son Bill (Nancy) Templeton of Barrie, ON; her daughters Pat (Larry) Martin of Lethbridge, AB and Joanne (Ken) Fairhead of Ebenezer, SK; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and many great friends. She was predeceased by her husband Bob; son John "Jack"; parents George and Emma; and brothers Art and Bob. Shirley was born on the family farm just east of Verwood, SK on September 20, 1923. She helped out on the farm and attended school in Verwood until moving to Moose Jaw. There, she attended Normal School and soon earned a teaching job back in Verwood. In June of 1946 Shirley married Robert "Bob" Templeton in Verwood. They bought some land and spent several years farming in the area. They also started their family, with Pat, Bill, Joanne and Jack being born between 1949 and 1955. A career move for Bob took the family to Yorkton in 1956, where Shirley focused on raising her children and upgrading her education through correspondence. In 1967 the family moved to Regina. Shirley had found a job with the Regina Public School Division, where she taught until her retirement in 1988. Shirley and Bob spent much of their retirement at the cabin on Pasqua Lake ("Templeton's Lodge"), fully appreciating the tranquility. They also enjoyed many road trips where they were able to reconnect with old friends. Bob and Shirley moved to the Bentley in Moose Jaw in 2000, where they formed many new friendships with fellow retirees and with the very capable staff. Shirley lost Bob in 2011 and soon after moved to Yorkton where she spent the last two years. A private family ceremony to celebrate Shirley's life will be held at a later date.
