Margaret Sawchuk (nee Semeniuk) was born November 19, 1948 to parents Nick and Mary Semeniuk (nee Maximiuk). After growing up on the family farm by Theodore, she adopted Edmonton, AB as home for her adult life. In 1974, she married Jim Sawchuk, but the marriage was short. She was employed at a drycleaning shop until poor health forced her out of the workforce. She liked knitting, fishing and camping. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends. Margaret was predeceased by her parents and brothers Carl, Joseph (in infancy) and Ernest. She leaves to cherish her memory brothers George (Shirley) and Clifford, and a sister Sylvia (Ron) Chorney, numerous nephews, relatives and friends. Margaret passed away Friday, December 7, 2012. A funeral service was held at Memories Funeral Home in Edmonton, AB on Monday, December 17, 2012. Margaret was laid to rest in the family plot in Yorkton Memorial Gardens on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. with Very Rev. Fr. Mel Slashinsky officiating the Internment Service. Bailey's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements in Yorkton, SK. Margaret was a pretty blond-haired lady with a slim build, a quiet voice, and a big beautiful smile. May her soul rest with the saints in God's Heavenly Kingdom.
