It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Phylis Katherine Richards on August 30, 2013, at the age of 69 at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her parents Adolf and Ann Seufert. Phylis is dearly loved and remembered by her husband Larry Richards, sister Shirley Cermak, brother Joe Seufert (Elaine), sister Marie Schafer (Gil), and sister Gayle Hedley (Pat), and many nieces and nephews who were so special to her, special friend Diane and beloved pet Maggie. Phylis lived all her life in Yorkton and loved to call it home. She worked at Russell Studio and later with the Yorkton Parkland Regional Library where she retired. She was a wonderful loving and caring person with a beautiful spirit and a gentle soul. She was passionate about gardening, cooking, keeping her yard spotless, visiting friends and neighbours, but most of all spending time with her family. She loved having family at her place or going to visit her family. Phylis had the heart of an angel and would always help anyone, anywhere, at any time. Phylis will be forever loved and missed by her family and all who knew her. A special thanks to the staff at RUH. and St. Paul's ICU and Palliative Care (there are no words). A beautiful angel got her wings and will forever guide us and watch over us. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home, 45, 5th Ave. N. Yorkton. A luncheon and fellowship will follow in Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre, Hwy # 10 East. Memorials in memory of Phylis may be made to the S.P.C.A. as gifts of remembrance.
