Hilda Emma Platz Repsch was born on March 15, 1919 at Gull Lake, SK, the daughter of Daniel and Julianna (Bringer) Platz. They were a family of ten girls and one boy. In 1936 she met Robert Repsch and they were married on May 15, 1938. They were blessed with one son, Arnold, in July of 1939. After living and working for a time in Neudorf, SK, they moved to the Kinbrae District, south of Bredenbury. They farmed there until January of 1975 when they moved to Churchbridge, SK. After being a hard working farm wife and mother for so many years she found living in town to her liking and quickly developed a love for flowers and crochet work. She also loved to bake kuchen and cookies for her family and did so often. Her two grandsons and her great-grandchildren were very special to her. After Robert's passing in 2000, she remained in her own home, then briefly moved to Yorkton and then back to the manor in Churchbridge. Following a diagnosis of Alzheimer Disease, she moved to the Langenburg Care Home and remained there until her passing. Hilda was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Robert; her siblings, Lydia Miller, Theresa Kudelis, Emil Platz, Wanda Krieger, Elsa Hollinger, Martha Jess, Alma Jesse, Matilda Holowaty, Freida Schramm and Margaret Walters and sister-in-law, Vicki Platz. She is survived by her son, Arnold (Shirley); grandsons, Blaine of Bredenbury, SK and Brent (Michelle) and their children, Jordan and Alexis of Yorkton, SK as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were held on Friday, February 3, 2017 from Trinity Lutheran Church in Churchbridge, SK with Pastor Jeff Dul officiating. The organist, Alice Johnson, led the congregation in the singing of the hymns, "Beautiful Saviour", "The Lord is My Shepherd", "Just As I Am" and "Abide With Me". The Interment Service followed in the Yorkton Memorial Gardens, Garden of St. Mark with Blaine Repsch, Brent Repsch, Richard Rohn, Jordan Repsch, Mike Wandy and Carl Westerhaug serving as the casket bearers.
