Elizabeth Rasmussen passed away on Monday, December 31, 2012 at the Parkside Nursing Home in Regina. Elizabeth "Liz" leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Laura (John) Chernoff of Saskatoon; her four children, Murray Rasmussen of Yorkton, Carla (Larry) Natrasany of Regina, Myra (David) Gerhardt of Medicine Hat and Ingrid Bradbury of Regina; her four grandchildren, Annette Rasmussen, Sarah Natrasany, Kira and Breanne Gerhardt; her two great grandchildren Emma-Lee Rasmussen and Hunter Smoly, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Liz was happiest when she was around family and friends and she always placed them before herself. She was a confidant to many, and always listened thoughtfully to whatever they had to say. Liz is remembered by her grandchildren for her great story telling and homemade soup. Her wonderful hospitality will be remembered by many as she freely opened her home for coffee or a meal to her dear friends and others as needed. For the latter part of her life we thank the Parkside Nursing Home staff for their thoughtfulness, kindness, friendship and professional care. Elizabeth is predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Anastasia (nee Makortoff) Bloodoff; her brothers, Fred Bloodoff and George Bloodoff; and by her sister, Mary Fofonoff. At Elizabeth's request a celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
