Anne Prysilak was born on July 3, 1918 in Dneiper, SK, the first of 12 children born to Nick and Sophie (nee Pelech) Mozylisky. She received her education in Stawchan and Vione schools. Anne met Mike in 1936 and they were married in October of 1937. They farmed in the Stornoway District until the fall of 1962, when they purchased land near Sifton, MB where they farmed until 1967. At that time, they sold their land and moved to Regina, where they purchased an apartment block with their son, Ray. In 1969 they retired, had a home built in Yorkton and became active in St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church and the community of Yorkton. Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Anne's interests included gardening, dancing, handwork and playing cards. She took much pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren. Anne was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Michael; her daughter, June; her sisters, Mary, Elsie and Vicky; her brother, Peter; her daughter-in-law, Jean and son-in-law, Frank Ovens. She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish her memory, her son, Raymond (Sharon); her daughter, Bernice Ovens; her son, Roy (Janice); her grandchildren, Tracy (Brian), Jason, Melinda (Rod), Mary (Dale), Jonas (Jenn), Jean-Anne (Chad) and Nia; her great-grandchildren, Tristen, Duncan, Nathan and Olive as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Prayer Service was held on Sunday, December 21, 2014 and the Funeral Service was held on Monday, December 22, 2014. Both services were held from St. Mary's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Yorkton, SK with Father Methodius Kuskho, C.Ss.R. officiating. The responses were led by Mr. Ed Pindus and members of the Yorkton Ukrainian Catholic Choir. The Interment Service followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery, Yorkton, SK with Tracy Prysliak, Jason Prysliak, Brian Russell, Eugene Pryslak, Jonas Prysliak and Jean-Anne Teliske serving as casket bearers.
