Frederick Pelletier

Frederick Pelletier passed away at St. Paul's Hospital in Saskatoon on Sunday, January 10, 2016 with his loving family at his side. Frederick "Engie" Pelletier was born on November 25, 1932, the son of Nazaire Pelletier and Mary Madeline (nee St. Pierre) at Crooked Lake, SK. His sister Edna wanted a little sister when her mother was ready to deliver, Edna was ready to name the baby Angie, but it was a boy so she nick-named him Engie. That's how he got his nick-name. Early in life he began working for various employers in Canada and the United States as an insulator. A career he enjoyed for 37 years. On August 13, 1983 he was united in marriage to his love and friend Priscilla Sayer. They were together for 38 years. Together they adopted two children Laurie and Robin. His favourite pastimes were being outdoors, camping, horse races and spending time with his family. He was anxiously awaiting the birth of their first great-grandchild. Engie and family had moved to Prince Albert, SK where he eventually retired. Frederick was predeceased by his parents, Nazaire & Mary Pelletier, his brothers, Frank Pelletier, Joe Pelletier, Alexander Pelletier, Marcel Pelletier, William Pelletier, Ernest Pelletier, Francis Pelletier; his sisters, Edna Krawchuk, Adele Beston, Irene Forshchen, Evelyn Bellegarde. He leaves to cherish many fond memories, his wife Priscilla, his children; Laurie & Bernard, Robin & Jasmin, his step-children; Myles Jr. & Wanda, Elizabeth & Michael, Brenda & Burton, Frederick & April and 14 grandchildren, his brothers; Walter (Jean) Pelletier, Sylvester Peltier and sister Mabel St. Pierre along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The Wake was held on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 with Prayers being held on Thursday, January 14 and the Funeral service was held Friday, January 15 all from the Yorkton Friendship Centre, with Pastor Rick Flamont officiating and Darlene Langan giving the Eulogy. Honourary Pall bearers were 鈥渆veryone who loved and shared a role in his life鈥 and the Active Pall bearers were Katilyn Pelletier, Mervin Pelletier, Dennis Langan, Barry Pelletier, Dwayne Pelletier and Wyman Pelletier. The interment Service was held in the Yorkton City Cemetery, Yorkton, SK. Memorials in memory of Frederick Pelletier may be made to a Charity of Choice as gifts of remembrance.
